Dr. Nima Khosravani is a board-certified, fellowship-trained general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery. A Winter Park native, he brings deep roots in the community he serves — and a career grounded in clinical research well before medical school.

He completed his medical degree at the Florida State University College of Medicine, followed by a General Surgery residency at the University of Miami/Palm Beach and a fellowship in Bariatric and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery at Baptist South Miami Hospital.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

A foundation in clinical research

Dr. Nima Khosravani began his career in clinical research well before medical school, serving as Director of Research at The Compass Clinic — a neurology practice within Compass Research — where he led studies on neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's. Prior to medical school he also earned a Master's in Aging and Neuroscience from the University of South Florida.

Board-certified emergency medicine4 years in practice

Dr. Lauren Shapiro is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with four years of clinical practice. Her background in emergency medicine brings a sharp, patient-first clinical judgment to the research studies she oversees at Celeris.

She earned her medical degree at Florida Atlantic University and completed her residency in emergency medicine at Tampa General Hospital.
